The role

The role is based within the Marketing team of the Membership division of the organisation. The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for assisting the team in communicating the value of joining and staying with the organisation for civil engineers and built environment professionals.

Duties and responsibilities
- Provide support on communications to current and prospective members
- Send marketing communications using an email software system (Communicator)
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing Manager, e.g. updating the Membership marketing schedule
- Liaise with student ambassadors in Academic Partnership universities
- Correspond with external suppliers and place orders where required, e.g. printers, Rewards scheme, designers, video agencies, merchandise provider
- Create/update in-house collateral such as flyers, ads, posters
- Organise Membership presence at conferences
- Provide reports on performance of marketing activities
- Respond to queries from members
- Liaise with internal communications team to promote Membership activity to staff

What are they looking for?

The successful applicant will have experience of working within a marketing environment and skills in using an email marketing software would be advantageous. An understanding of engineering/construction is desirable but not essential.

The ideal new team member would have a positive can-do attitude, a desire to learn and be able to think outside the box. Strong attention to detail, time management and organisation skills would be important for this position.
