An exciting opportunity has arisen for Production / Assembly based Manufacturing Technicians to join this company. The role will be based at their new Headquarters and Assembly centre of excellence facility, in Milton Keynes.

They are a private UK company, which was founded in 1985 and has achieved sustained sales growth year on year to become one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of mobile elevated work platforms. They have a vast sales and dealer export network across over 40 countries worldwide, supported by 400 employees in the UK, based across three centres of excellence manufacturing sites.

The Production / Manufacturing Technician Role requires dynamic team players with proven experience, skills and knowledge in mechanical assembly, as well as basic hydraulic and electrical fitting and installation. The role requires operating to high quality / workmanship standards within a work class manufacturing team and facility.

Main Tasks Of Job:

- Efficient and correct to specification Mechanical assembly, hydraulic installation, electrical wiring, and fitting operations, linked to the manufacture, service and repair of access platforms.
- Competent build inspection of all stages.
- Compliance with health and safety standards, flexibility, and development of skills through the complete manufacturing process, and the production / product cells.
- Maintain a high standard of 5’ s workplace organisation. Continuous improvement / elimination of waste, through ‘Lean Manufacturing techniques / tools’.
- Working as a team to achieve customer quality, delivery, cost and innovation requirements.
- Experience in a similar role / environment would be ideal.

Remuneration:

- Basic of £9.45 - £10.45 per hour x 40 hours per week x 52 weeks.
- Business performance bonus (for indication only), based on recent average of 2016, approx. £4,600 -£5,000 per annum (calculated weekly, paid monthly - i.e. approx. £350 - £400 per month).
- Overtime required and paid at 1.5 rate for first 4 hours per day, then 2.0 rate.
- Profit related bonus (for indication only) based on recent average £500 per annum.
- 25 days holiday (increases with service), plus bank holidays,
- Health cover scheme for dental, optician etc.
- 4% contributory pension
- Life insurance scheme.
- Basic hours are 08:00 to 16:30 hours, with a requirement to work additional overtime before and after basic hours (at premium rates), where required.

- Overtime requirement 1-2 hours per day (usually 7am-8am & 4.30pm-5.30pm) & 4-6 hours on a Saturday (usually at least 3 out of the 4 per month)
