This company is the market leader in the formulation of gelling agents and stabilisers to the food and pet industries. Their growth is unprecedented with sales to many of the well-known branded food/pet food businesses on a worldwide basis.
Due to the continued growth of the company there is a need to provide additional site leadership in the development of people and culture at its Riccall manufacturing and distribution base.
This is a senior management role reporting to the Managing Director within a small team based at the Riccall manufacturing site with impact on the London head office.
THE ROLE
- Plan, organise and control the HR activities of the site to achieve exceptional customer facing culture and can-do attitude on site
- Develop with senior colleagues leadership capabilities and team working across the site in all areas
- Develops and leads critical site meetings to improve communication and ensure action driven agendas
- Ensures that the site encompasses legal and local frameworks for all HR matters as well as managing the appraisal process and implementation for all employees.
- Working with the leadership team on site to identify and develop talent.
THE PERSON
- Creative, can-do attitude professional. Detailed working knowledge of food safety requirements, HACCP, legislation, BRC, and quality standards.
- Successful track record of HR Management, ideally in a similar role. CIPD qualified.
- Customer focused/obsession individual with strong commercial and negotiation acumen. Ensures staff understand and implement quality excellence across the site.
- Lead, develop, coach and motivate others to a customer centric quality mentality.
- Self-starter, energetic and an excellent communicator through all mediums including IT.
- Team player.
