This 20 year old company is a fast growing leading wholesaler of structural screws in the building and construction industry. They own two key brands and are the UK sole importer for two further brands, all four are the leaders in their specific categories. Their Head Office in Linton houses their sales and management teams and provides a base for Area Sales Managers. They are in exciting times and are quickly expanding our sales force and warehouse teams to manage the demand of their growing customer base across the UK. They expect the very best standards from all their employees and in return welcome them to their family run company where every person matters.
They have recently invested in brand new, custom built equipment and fixtures necessary to powder coat the heads of their screws in small batch quantities and are now looking for an operator to run the whole process.
Daily duties include:
- Arranging works orders in an efficient manner
- Inserting screws into fixtures by hand
- Powder coating the screws to the correct RAL colours
- Baking the screws to specific times and temperatures to achieve a perfect finish
- De-racking the finished screws and packaging them for transport back to our warehouse.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment to work in
- Operating specific machinery including air compressors and electrostatic paining equipment (on-site training can be provided)
- Monitoring stock levels and calling off deliveries from paint suppliers and company warehouse
- Adhere to particular KPIs including rate of units produced and maintaining the high standards of the company
As well as operating the machinery, the right candidate will be able to:
- Take ownership of the entire process from order receipt to delivery back to our warehouse.
- Offer and implement agreed suggestions and ideas regarding improvements to the process
- Offer and implement agreed ideas on how to minimize waste within the process.
The powder coating plant is located at their Head Office in Linton. This position would suit someone with their own transport to get to work and back as public transport links are not readily available.
Hours of work are:
Mon-Fri 07:30-16:30

20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and Christmas shut down
