Role Background:
The position of Managing Director requires a smart, diligent and analytical person with a background in digital. Previous experience as an MD is not required. We are very much open to hiring an ambitious senior manager who is looking to take a step up in their career.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing the team, setting tasks, maintaining culture, maintaining high standards.
- P&L accountability.
- Responsible for overall success of the business.
- Transport provider quality management.
- Managing marketplace KPIs.
- Setting and directing search engine marketing strategy (SEO & PPC).
- Executing email marketing campaigns.
- Identifying and testing new marketing channels.
- Analytics – Google/Mixpanel/Internal databases etc.
- Managing product development and taking full responsibility for every deployment made on the web site.
- Keeping close to customer to inform future strategy and uncover any issues.
What are we looking for?
- Hard worker, self-motivated and degree educated.
- Hands on and not afraid to be operational.
- 5+ years previous experience of managing a team (but does not necessarily need to have been in an MD capacity).
- Track record of success.
- Experience with Google AdWords.
- Experience with SEO.
- Experience with Google Analytics / Mixpanel and similar analytics tools.
- Analytical, numbers-based mind-set.

Remuneration
£100k / year, plus 25% bonus for hitting targets.
