The purpose of the role is to efficiently manage the projects that you are assigned and be responsible for their development; from concept to release.

A world–ranking specialist in the mechanical sealing industry. Designing, manufacturing and distributing precision engineered mechanical seals and sealing systems, the company sets new industry standards in performance, reliability, cost and service.

The company also prides itself on exceeding its social responsibilities by a number of very successful initiatives including sponsoring school CAD software systems, managing a wetlands wildlife sanctuary and reducing its environmental impact (carbon emissions and water usage).

Job Dimension

To be responsible for reducing costs by initiating and creating processes to control the Company’s internal knowledge and data

To develop, introduce and regulate policies and processes to ensure the integrity of data with a view to reducing waste and cost

To take responsibility of any projects given and be confident and able to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Project Management - You will be required to efficiently manage the projects that you are assigned and be responsible for their development; from concept to release. You’ll need to ensure these projects support the company’s strategic goals while integrating the needs of wider group stakeholders.

Process Engineering – You will be required to work within varying areas of the company to help drive and develop a lean culture within it. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities is the main drive of our department.

You will be process driven taking the initiative on information gathered across the business and ensuring that the company’s data is controlled through the introduction of effective procedures and policies.

Problem Solving – You will be required to manage and improve efficiencies within a variety of areas, including Processes, Design, Commercial and Intellectual Property

The team work closely with the Group MD and have a weekly meeting with him to update him on their progress. The candidate must be able to communicate confidently and precisely when discussing their project’s progress.

Skills, knowledge and experience
- 2:1 degree in a relevant business, IT or engineering discipline OR must be able to demonstrate this level of learning and development through experience
- Excellent communicator both written and oral
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales
- Presentation skills
- A minimum of 1 years experience. (this could be a gap year or as part of an undergraduate course)
- Willingness to travel
- Effective communicator
