This company is a specialist service provider focused on facade access and height safety equipment maintenance and repair. Their engineering teams work on window cleaning cradle equipment and safety systems located on the roofs of some of the most iconic buildings across central London and the South East.

They are part of a Group who specialise in suspended access, fall protection, powered winching, and lifting gear. Working for some of the largest construction and FM companies in the UK, Europe and America.

Responsibilities:
- Inspection of BMU’s and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues and repair accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance work, including lubrication, and replacement of components as required to maintain BMU’s service and longevity.
- Inspect Mansafe life line systems/components, repair, maintain and upgrade where required.
- Inspect and test EN 795 class A attachment points (eyebolts, pushlock) in accordance with current standards, and tag appropriately.
- Maintain accurate site paperwork, liaising with the client, and office on service outcomes, providing comprehensive parts/time information for additional works.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours (weekends/evenings) as required.
- Ability to undertake active RAMS and observe all safety precautions to avoid accidents or near misses.

Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical and electrical experience, including fault finding and diagnosis essential.
- Ability to and experience of working at height essential.
- BMU or cradle maintenance experience desirable, although transferrable experience (powered access engineer) would be acceptable.
- Experience of dealing with blue chip clients, and being customer facing desirable.
- Ability to use their own initiative, and seek safe acceptable solutions to facilitate repair.
