This company is a specialist Micronutrient and Bio-stimulant Manufacturer based in Langar, Nottinghamshire. Working in the international market of crop and plant nutrition, they offer tomorrow’s technology for the crops of today. With a production facility based in Langar, they develop, manufacture and distribute cutting edge chemicals on site for clients and customers who require ‘own label’ products to be produced on their behalf.

They are now looking for a full-time Maintenance Engineer to work with a team of dedicated individuals at their production facility. Reporting into the Production Manager, you will oversee all maintenance work on plant machinery, conduct PPM Plans on all major machinery throughout the factory and react quickly and efficiently to all electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Being flexible and proactive, you will be responsible for all installations and/or relocation of machinery when required.

Other duties include:
- Carry out inspections and site maintenance when required
- Installation of new and existing machinery
- Reacting quickly to breakdowns and callouts
- Accurately reporting on all work carried out with costs incurred
- Carry out fabrication work, as required
- Be responsible for all electrical installation according to 17th Edition
- Be responsible for the design and modification of machinery
- Carry out project work as directed by the Production Manager and MD
- Monitoring and ordering of spare parts ensuring a minimum stock level is kept for those which has a short life span (floor pumps etc.)
- Continuous improvement throughout the site
- Training on new/modified machinery as required
- Assist with Production as required
- Occasional call-outs
- Adhere to the Companies Health & Safety Policy
- Assume a positive team role & contribute to the ‘family’ spirit of the business.

The Person
They are looking for someone with excellent electrical and mechanical skills, with experience in welding and fabrication, a distinct advantage. You will have ‘Fault Finding, 3 phase’, a minimum BTEC Level 3 Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent and a minimum NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. You will be flexible in your approach to work, with excellent problem solving and analytical thinking. Good attention to detail is critical to this role.
