Our client is one of the top 3 players in Europe in it’s sector, manufacturing products that contribute to building sustainable homes, they are designed and manufactured according to a controlled closed loop philosophy that includes a service life of 50 years or more, as well as recycling and reuse at end of life.

They are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer who specialises in electrical maintenance. The prime purpose of this role is to reduce ‘down time’ of production by planning and carrying out preventative maintenance on production machinery, auxiliary plant equipment and factory services.

Key Duties:
- To provide daily support to the production department
- Carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance in accordance with timescales allowed in production
- To manage projects and provide regular updates to the Production Manager
- Installation and commissioning of new machinery, plant and services for production, offices and warehouse facilities
- Maintain and control where appropriate the pump house and electrical room ensuring correct operation at all times, repair work and servicing work is carried out.
- Reviewing and reporting upon all aspects of electrical safety and safe working practices including PAT testing and hard wiring
- Fault finding of PLC’s systems
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, current electrical legislation and Company policies

You will be:
- Experienced working within a maintenance role, ideally with an electrical bias
- Proactive, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- A team player, approachable and supportive of others
- An excellent communicator, able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with them

Also desirable, but not essential for the role is:
- Experience within a production environment
- Experience or knowledge of extrusion lines
- Forklift operating experience

Standard Working Hours:
This role operates a rotating shift pattern of 3 on, 3 off 12 hour shifts worked 06.00 – 18.00, averaging 42 hours per week.
