A growing Multisport Team wear brand is looking for an experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Co-ordinator to join their production department in Long Stratton. The brand has built a worldwide reputation for supplying quality bespoke sports clothing and equipment to the hockey, netball, cricket, rugby and many more markets. Previous experience is preferred but full training can be provided. Development opportunities available.

Roles and responsibilities;
- Ensuring all supplier orders are dispatched on time and delivered on the correct mode of shipping.
- Produce, update and maintain weekly schedules for all goods coming from their Chinese factory. Schedule to reflect sea and air consignments and manage accordingly.
- Produce schedules for outsourced product and keep up to date with all relevant information
- Compare lead time requirements with delivery information supplied from the factory and decide upon the most cost effective and practical means of shipping.
- Communicate with currency establishments to obtain up to date information on current exchange rates to determine freight prices.
- Daily communication via Skype and E-mail with their factory or other manufacturers / suppliers to organize and arrange shipments.
- Liaise daily with the factory and suppliers for outsourced product to obtain situation reports for all current orders and enter information onto the production schedule.
- Liaise directly with their International Resellers regarding any schedule queries.
- Negotiate rates and maintain service levels from forwarders. Evaluate on a weekly basis the best provider to move shipments – provide report to line manager for current shipping rates.
- Liaise with freight companies to organize collections for outsourced suppliers and required documents.
- Organize shipment of goods to overseas customers direct from their factory and the company – negotiate best rates.
- Control Volume of critical and priority orders placed at the company.
- Maintain information sheet detailing all customs requirements for countries.
- Place orders with outsourced suppliers directly.
- Provide Line Manger with up to date prices for freight and cost of goods as and when required.
- QC outsourced product samples and review with Line Manager.

- A team player who takes pride in their work
- Confident in numeracy and Excel and a good working knowledge of other Microsoft Works packages.
- An understanding of duty requirements and importing procedures
- Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks as the job will primarily involving liaising with freight companies, suppliers and internal departments simultaneously.
