About the role

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading cyber security service providers. As part of their rapid growth, this company is expanding its development team, with a permanent role for an office-based Linux/Web Developer. The successful candidate will have development experience of web application development in a Linux environment.

They both operate and use Linux based technologies throughout their systems and services, so make use of the usual range of Linux technologies from PHP through to the common scripting and C, C++ programming languages.

Ideally, you will have experience of web development using PHP, and frameworks such as Symfony in conjunction with SQL database technologies (such as mysql, postgresql), but also be keen to extend your knowledge into other aspects of Linux based development.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be expected to manage your own workload in order to meet project deadlines, and continually drive your own learning and development. A strong interest in security and secure development will also be advantages.

Required skills and experience:

- 2 years+ experience developing in Linux/Web technologies
- Confident scripting abilities and good knowledge of database programming with SQL
- Good HTML/CSS development skills
- Good communication skills

Desired qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
