LGV Mechanic – Glastonbury

This business is one of the country’s largest independent suppliers to the construction industry. Their business has undergone significant growth in recent years and this is an exciting time to join us as we continue to develop and grow their sales and their people.

They have an exciting opportunity for a LGV Mechanic to join their team at the Glastonbury branch.

What will I be responsible for?

- To provide an efficient, professional and skilled service in the maintenance and servicing of all vehicles including heavy, light commercials, cars, vans and plant/ancillary equipment.
- To ensure that all duties carried out are not only to the requirements of Manufacturers specifications, but are in compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
- To carry out preventive maintenance and inspections and report results to the Workshop Manager.
- To carry out services and full repairs to all vehicles, heavy and light commercials, cars, vans and ancillary equipment, plus accessories as may be required in a safe and efficient manner, using the skills and knowledge of a fully skilled trades person.

Who are they looking for?

The job will require the person to effectively undertake the repair and maintenance of their large fleet of vehicles to a high standard as instructed by the Workshop Manager. Full consideration will be given to any applicant who is a fully qualified light commercial mechanic and after a period of employment.
