This business has a new opportunity for a qualified solicitor to join their in-house team. They are a globally renowned company, delivering services to their clients within the insurance, property and motor sectors.

Utilising your knowledge and professionalism, your main function will be to support and advise all their Group companies on contractual matters.

Your day-to-day…

- Deliver contract advice as required including interpretation and resolution of contractual issues and participate in contract negotiations
- Advise on contractual matters relating to accurate implementation as well as new business opportunities
- Provide contract and legal advice to the business to ensure delivery in accordance with legal and contractual obligations and customer requirements
- Develop risk analyses with respect to proposed contracts, ensuring appropriate key stakeholder engagement and escalation to senior management
- Remaining abreast of legal developments affecting the company, its clients and incorporate this into company practises
- Support the business from a legal standpoint advising on new client contracts and RFP’s
- Involved in the understanding, implementation and management of compliance requirements including data protection
- Assist with corporate activity, such as acquisitions and disposal
- Support other members of the legal team and where relevant supervise junior members of staff

This is in addition to any ad hoc duties.

Your skills…

- Qualified solicitor ideally with at least 2 years post qualified experience
- Previous in-house experience is desirable
- Experience of successfully working on complex contractual proposals
- Experience of building strong relationships and successfully working with key stakeholders
- A working knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation is desirable
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- A self-starter who is willing and able to work on own initiative as well as to learn from an experienced team
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
