This leading world class company is looking for an experienced Learning and Development professional to define and deliver the Learning and Development strategy into the business.

There are a number of facets to the role including;

- Identification of current and future learning interventions,
- Designing, delivering and monitoring the most appropriate interventions which will be a mix of classroom, online, coaching and mentoring activity, using a mix of in house capability, external support and the apprentice levy
- Managing the implementation and effectiveness of talent development programs in the business including graduate and apprentice schemes,
- Ensuring you partner the business leaders in identifying career plans, pipelines and opportunities for high potential and high value employees,
- Working proactively to identify future skills required within areas taking a proactive approach to bring through the talent to promote from within
- Demonstrating the value of L&D through a robust competency management framework that is simple yet effective.

You will have a strong background in L & D, training needs analysis, programme design and development, competency understanding/management and you will have the commercial acumen to demonstrate how interventions are successful and how each intervention can clearly demonstrate a return on investment.

You will come from a background which has helped you develop a structured approach to L &D but you you will certainly have your own ideas about what works and what doesn't and will want a little flexibility in demonstrating that you know the right things to apply at the right time to grow capability.

You will need to demonstrate a solid experience within an operational/manufacturing environment with a lean culture that you have been able to actively develop through creative and sustained training interventions.

You must be educated to minimum degree level or equivalent with a formal qualification in L & D.
