This company is one of the fastest growing house builders in the UK. They are looking for a chartered town planner who can demonstrate previous experience working on residential schemes in the UK either as part of a consultancy or for developer or house builder. Working within their land department, you will be involved in obtaining planning permission on residential sites and discharging planning conditions. You will liaise between external planning consultants, architects, local authorities and land owners to assist our land director in achieving commercially viable residential sites across the UK.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be:
- A member of the Royal Town Planning Institute or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Planning & Development Surveyor); with normally at least three years’ experience post professional qualification;
Inquisitorial and a problem solver;
- Highly analytical and numerate;
- A good verbal communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Good at report writing and presentation
- Ambitious and enthusiastic.
- Practical experience of development plan processes
- Good understanding of the housing market and how robust planning advice plays a central role in driving land value enhancement.
Salary circa £40K (plus bonus package)
