This company one of the fastest growing private housebuilders in the UK today. They are currently recruiting for a Land Buyer to be based at their offices in Darwen, Lancashire but to work nationwide. The role for the Land Buyer will involve sourcing land and property for residential developments, evaluating costs of sites and liaising with owners and land agents. The role itself requires an articulate and motivated individual who can demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and show real commercial awareness.

The successful Land Buyer will ideally have at least 10 years of land development experience. The Land Buyer will ideally have vast experience in negotiating the purchase of land and/or buildings in a previous role.

Land Buyer role
- Evaluating site costs
- Build up a network of land agents, vendors and key contacts within the industry
- Identify on and off market opportunities
- Liaise with planning consultants with regards to sites without existing planning permissions
- Negotiate with vendors and agents to achieve the best possible terms to purchase selected sites
- Update and prepare development appraisals
- Manage residential schemes through to receipts of planning consent.

Land Buyer position requirements:
- Previous experience of working as a Land Buyer
- Ability to travel to various sites nationwide
- Excellent negotiation skills
- 10 years plus experience
- Highly motivated and articulate

Land Buyer position remuneration:
- Salary: circa £35K plus performance bonus OTE £50K plus
- Company car
