This independent research and testing organisation has a vacancy for a Laboratory Technician to work in their Furniture and Floorcoverings Business Centre.
As a technician you will be responsible for the testing of floorcoverings and furniture against British and European standards. The role will also involve communicating with customers mainly through email and by telephone. Providing excellent customer service is a pre-requisite of the job.
Candidates should have at least 5 GCSEs, including Maths, English and Science. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding (or have experience of) the testing of different types of consumer products. Good communication skills are essential along with previous experience of using Word, Excel and Outlook.
The appointed technician will be expected to work to deadlines, produce accurate, detailed results and work independently when required. Experience of working with an ERP or CRM system would be an advantage.
