This company is a unique electronic product design business specialising in design, software, prototype and production. They work with a wide range of customers ranging from local inventors and entrepreneurs, to SME’s, academic institutions and international corporations.
They are looking for a skilled, proactive and enthusiastic Lab Technician to join their growing and highly successful team. This is an exciting opportunity that will give the successful candidate the opportunity to take control of this area of the business and drive it forwards.
You will be responsible for delivering all prototype PCB, cable harnesses and box build assembly within the business. This will involve sourcing and procuring all the required components and mechanical items needed to complete projects on time and on budget.
You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that all products comply with IPC, ESD and ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System standards.
The successful candidate will have experience in production processes such as:
- automated and manual SMT assembly
- through-hole assembly
- testing procedures
- rework procedures
- surface mount hand modifications
- reflow techniques
- cable assembly
- mechanical assembly
And have:
- Completed a relevant degree level course and have 1 years’ experience; Or,
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Experience with electronic components and Bills of Materials
- Ability to work to tight timescales and project deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and multitask in a logical manner
