This is an exciting opportunity to join a team which will support the setup of the new 215,000 sq. ft. Distribution Centre, employing state of the art automated storage and retrieval systems. The initial facility will be developed to pick up to 150,000 units across 37,000 order lines per day.

The Key Operatives will play a vital role within the warehouse operation, being fully competent in all areas of the warehouse and supporting the Team Managers in communicating priorities, targets and operational requirements to the team.

The role will also involve processing products quickly, effectively and accurately, whether packing or loading orders, completing kitted components for stock or receiving deliveries from suppliers into stock, to ensure delivery of a high quality service to all customers.

Opportunities will be available for further training, development and progression.

The role:
- Fully competent in all areas of the warehouse operation
- Support and assist newly appointed or less experienced colleagues by providing training and guidance as appropriate
- Resolve issues or problems that occur in the warehouse and when necessary elevate the issue to a more senior level
- Support the Team Manager in communicating priorities, targets and operational requirements to the team.
- Undertake receipt and checking of incoming stock in line with company goods in process, and ensure product is correctly located within the warehouse
- Accurately pick and pack products to enable customer orders to be dispatched on time and to immediately report any discrepancy relating to stock to the Team Manager
- Report any damaged product or product unsuitable for sale
- Check and dispatch outgoing orders
- Assist with regular stock counts as required
- Undertake forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted
- Ensure that all component parts for kitted product are accurately picked and packed into kits including any supplementary information required.
- Ensure that all core returns are correctly identified, inspected and returned to the appropriate supplier
- Ensure that all parts returns are checked, re-boxed, re-labelled (if necessary) and returned to stock in a quick and efficient manner ready for resale

Skills and Experience:
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy
- IT competent
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Previous warehouse experience, experience of automation is desirable
- FLT (desirable)
