This global provider of high performance outdoor perimeter security systems is looking to recruit a Key Account Manager.

The purpose of this role is to develop NEW business as well as maintaining sales growth through their existing network of integrators and customers primarily in the UK and Ireland but also some parts of Europe. It will be necessary for the Key Account Manager to determine the route to market for each project opportunity, creating alignment with their business partners.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic candidate who is willing to develop and source new business leads and who is prepared to travel frequently to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop new business by frequently visiting potential customers and organising face-to-face meetings.
- Deliver presentations and interactive meetings to prospective new clients and to participate at exhibitions and seminars to promote and discover new business
- Gain approval and achieve end user specification for their systems via the appropriate route for any given sector, industry or organisation
- Construct and implement clear business plans for the designated countries within the defined their European territory and in line with the company strategy to develop key account relationships and gain valuable new and repeat business
- To maximise sales through a systematic and structured Key Account Management process by obtaining one on one customer meetings and having the drive to go out and develop new business
- To fully research the sales market, identify and understand the business opportunities creating alignment with the features and benefits of their systems to the customer’s requirements
- Direct business partners to investing sectors and potential markets ensuring that all opportunities are realised through use of appropriate sales tools
- To prepare and present an annual sales forecast to the General Manager and report against this plan on a monthly basis
- To assist with the development of business partners relationships with end users including support of the necessary processes to ensure product specification by the end users
- Providing quotations, value propositions and technical solutions to partners/customers

Essential Requirements

- Business degree or proven experience of successful Business Development and Key Account
- Management (minimum 5 years’ experience)
- Excellent Comprehension of the English Language
- Freedom to travel extensively, must hold a valid full UK driving license
- Must live locally to the office (ideally within 30 miles) as the candidate will be expected to be at the office when not at customer meetings
- Strong Customer Service, Management and IT Skills.

Salary: Circa £50k, (basic dependant on experience).
Incentive scheme depending on candidate and experience.
