You will spend time working on bespoke software for a variety of industries including finance, entertainment and business, as well as opportunities to work on exciting internal projects as the company looks to develop its portfolio. They are offering a competitive salary for this role, between 18-23k dependent on experience, as well as 30 days paid holiday and other benefits.
As a Junior Developer, you will take on your own projects and have genuine responsibility for development. You will have a strong part to play in the technical direction of the projects you work on and be involved throughout the whole process - from requirements gathering, to prototyping, development, testing and delivery.
You will not be reporting to seniority, but collaborating with their experienced team in a friendly and supportive working environment. They want to help you reach your full potential and ensure you are ideally placed to evolve your skills and develop your career and produce work you will be proud of.
Experience
Technical knowledge (ideal but not essential):
- A strong understanding of web development practices and methodologies.
- The ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of web application frameworks.
- Competency in database design, creation and maintenance, working to our internal standards.
- A candidate benefiting from commercial experience would also be an advantage.
Candidates with experience of any of the following would be at an advantage:
- Working with Python 3 or PHP 7
- Developing and integrating with RESTful web services.
- Mobile app development (native or hybrid).
Business skills:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment
- Good English; written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively to execute plans to completion.
