As a well-regarded refurbishment contractor they provide building maintenance services within the public sector, predominantly to local authority housing associations. Working as a close knit team the organisation has successfully proven time and time again its ability to be a serious competitor in the construction industry.

THE ROLE
As Junior Admin Assistant the successful candidate will work alongside the Office Administrator to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the office. The position will be varied and interesting, with the opportunity to learn new skills. Day to day you will be the first point of contact on the telephone, and be involved in general administrative duties and ad-hoc projects.

MAIN DUTIES:
- Answer incoming telephone calls, screening and redirecting calls as appropriate and taking and forwarding messages thereby ensuring effective communication.
- Maintaining a highly professional and approachable demeanour, as first point of call for clients and customers, both over the phone and in person.
- Manage the processing of incoming and outgoing post i.e. distribution of incoming post, franking of outgoing post and taking to local post box. - ---- Maintain records for the booking of couriers as necessary.
- Manage the process of issuing of ID badges and maintain accurate ID badge database.
- Provide good, clear precise communication and ensure effective liaison with clients and their residents, on all aspects of the service provided.

ASSIST TEAM IN:
- Ensuring that administrative systems and procedures are being adhered to.
- Managing, maintaining and updating Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Management systems and procedures.
- The upkeep of the building and its health and safety signage.
- Preparation of training materials for internal training. Maintaining historical and current training records accurately.
- Administration of the company fleet

ESSENTIAL:
- 5GCSE's or equivalent at grade A-C including Maths and English
- Experience working as part of a team
- Excellent IT Skills
- Excellent telephone manner and general communication skills
- General administration experience

DESIRABLE:
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of the construction industry

Office Location: Sidcup, DA14
Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm (1 hour lunch)
Salary:£10,000 - £17,100 pa dependant on experience
