Job Description
They are looking for a Java developer that can work independently and has the aptitude to constantly learn to develop solutions and overcome problems within their domain. A background in banking would be desirable, as is a knowledge of CRM or Telemetry systems, but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
- Participate in coding reviews and refactor existing code
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
- Prepare and conduct releases of software components up to live
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven hands-on Software Development experience
- Proven commercial experience in Java development
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
- Profound insight of Java and JEE internals
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
- Experience with test-driven development and continuous integration practices
- Experience in a AWS environment, the AWS console and its concepts
- Experience with NoSQL database ideally Mongo
- Experience with Time Series Databases highly desirable
