This family of independent schools provides education for children between the ages of 3 and 18 with boarding from 7. They have an exciting opportunity to join their in house IT Team supporting their staff and pupils across the schools.

Summary of the Role:

- Working within a busy service desk, providing 1st/2nd Line Support.
- This role will be split across the 5 schools.
- To be responsible for the maintenance and repair of IT equipment.
- To ensure a high level of service to users to minimise downtime
- To assist the Network Manager in development work around the School.
- Occasional weekend support on a rota basis.

Main Duties and responsibilities

- Responding to "Help Desk" calls on a prioritised basis, dealing with those calls in a friendly and efficient manner
- Carrying out repairs etc as required
- Keeping staff informed of progress with their problems and escalating the matter if required
- Building, installation and testing of new PCs
- Hardware and software installation as directed by the Network Manager
- Maintaining Software
- Web and Email filtering
- System Anti-Virus Software
- Maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory
- Assist with asset and licencing audit.
- Assisting with the Audio Visual Technician's requests including allocating resources - converting tapes to DVD, Programme recording and file conversion etc.
- You may be required to undertake such other reasonable duties from time to time as the School may reasonably require.

Candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable candidates will have the following:

- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- Working within a Windows Domain Environment
- Previous work experience in a commercial environment

Experience in the following technologies would be favoured:

- Working on a busy Service Desk
- Windows Image Deployment
- Windows Server Knowledge
- Windows 7/10
- Windows Server 2008/2012 R2
- Microsoft Group Policy

Working Hours
The IT Department provides support from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and during term time, 08:30 to 12:00 Saturdays mornings on a rota basis.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Training: The company will provide the successful candidate one IT Training course a year.
