The main Responsibilities will include:
- Support users with technical issues including out-of-hours
- Equipment hardware/software maintenance e.g. cleaning, installing updates
- Install new software
- Install and set up new equipment e.g. PCs, monitors
- Install/maintain desk cable-tidy solutions
- Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and resolution
- Escalate issues where necessary to the advanced remote support team
- Basic repairs of faulty equipment e.g. replacing faulty computer components
- User account management on Active Directory and other systems
- Manage backups
- Maintain system documentation & asset registers
- Track software license usage
- Assisting with budget management
- Manage and track assigned tasks and keep a log of work done
- Communicate regularly with manager on status and progress of work
- Feed back suggestions of how things might be improved
Equipment & Software to be supported/maintained
- Windows 10 Microsoft Surface Pro tablets
- Windows 7 desktops
- Microsoft Office 2016
- Office 365 productivity suite
- Document management system
- iPads / iPhones
- Audiovisual meeting room equipment e.g. TVs, projectors, speakers
Skills / Knowledge
- Skills relevant to the responsibilities and equipment/software listed above
- Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
- Basic networking knowledge including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP
- Good working knowledge of Windows server networks
- Relevant qualifications e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, CCNA etc.
Requirements
- Basic level of manual handling / lifting e.g. unboxing, installing computers; cleaning projectors etc.
