This Cloud Hosting and IT Consultancy business is looking for a candidate who has strong skills VMware vSphere and Microsoft technologies including RDS. They need a candidate who is self-motivated and able to work as part of a small team. You must have a strong interest in virtualisation, who enjoys learning about new technologies and identifying how they would be packaged and delivered as services to customers.

The role will include some customer facing technical pre-sales and consultancy. It is important that you are confident talking to customers with different levels of technical experience and prepared to travel onto customer sites.

Primarily based out of their new office in Burwell near Cambridge. Responsibilities will include;
- Management, support and development of their existing Public VMware vSphere Cloud infrastructure across their two Datacentre locations (Essential)
- Support/delivery of Veeam Backup and Replication solutions (Essential)
- Support/delivery of Zerto Disaster Recovery solutions (Desirable)
- Assisting with the development and deployment of new Cloud services (Essential)
- Support/delivery of on premise VMware solutions (Essential)
- Support/delivery of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services hosted and on premise (Desirable)

As well as your basic salary and other benefits regular training will be provided allowing you to advance your knowledge and skills.

They are considering candidates who are certified VMware VCP and hold at least one Microsoft technical certification. Layer 2 basic networking skills are also a requirement, layer 3 networking skills would provide a distinct advantage.

Due to the nature of the business they do operate a 24/7 server down response and as part of the role it will be expected that you will take part in their on call rota.

Their infrastructure is distributed across two Datacentre locations and privately owned, this allows them to provide flexibility to their customers and the agility to implement new solutions and services as the need arises.
