This small but successful company specialises in the supply, distribution and installation of physical security solutions. Its main market is the UK but the company has recently started to become involved in export projects as well.

This company has an ambitious 5 year plan that sees a growing investment in technology driven products that are often network connected. As such, they need to bring in specific expertise to support their sales team, their after sales support team and most importantly their customers.

They are looking for the right individual to fill a new position to that will help them achieve these goals. You will need to be keen and enthusiastic, be willing to learn about the security, locking and access control industries and to engage with new products. You must be outgoing, presentable and prepared to liaise with suppliers, their own staff and clients alike.

Full product training will be given but you will need to have a good understanding of the technologies that they use and run on. You will need to enjoy learning how systems work and solving puzzles.

The role will be largely office based but, the successful candidate must be willing to travel nationally and internationally to meet with customers and complete installations.

Regular Duties:
- Remote IT support (software & hardware) to their customers
- Support the sales team with technical presentations to clients
- Liaising with their client’s own IT support
- Installing software and hardware at client locations nationally & internationally
- Running internal product training programmes
- Provide in house IT support for their own hardware and software
- Manage and improve their own IT infrastructure (hardware and software)
- Introduce and manage an in house Cyber Security policy
- Introduce and manage an IT disaster recovery plan
- Help the company work towards achieving ISO27001 and & ISO27002

Essential Skillsets:
- Experience working in a Windows/Microsoft & Linux environments
- Experience working with and troubleshooting the following technologies:
- TCP/IP, DNS, Microsoft SQL 2012/2014/2016, Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows 7- 10, Teamviewer Remote Support, IIS6/7 Web, Firewall/Router troubleshooting, GitHub usage
- Ability to understand and discuss cyber security issues at a high level with clients’ IT teams

Experience Advantages:
PostgreSQL, .net Framework, JavaScript, Python, Restful APIs, C+, C++, ASP
