This is an opportunity to join a leading British Time & Attendance company producing/supplying time recording software and hardware solutions. They are a dedicated team, looking to provide the best customer support to businesses nationwide. To sustain their growth and ever improve their outstanding service a new role has arisen to provide client support for their time & attendance products.

Permanent salary of up to £20,000 pa
Hours of work: 8.30-5.30 - Monday to Friday
Must have a full driving licence
Full product training given for the role of IT Support Technician

The Role
- To be an integral part of the IT team in supporting end users of the company’s software and hardware
- Provide 1st/2nd/ line support on desktop infrastructure and Microsoft Servers
- Reporting to the IT Manager with both verbal and written reports as required
- Escalate issues as appropriate
- Identifying network issues and resolving them
- Network technologies such as LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
- The IT Support Technician position will be at times very demanding and fast flowing

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Support clients in a timely, professional, positive and friendly manner
- Diagnose and repair hardware terminals in house
- Keep IT Manager informed of incidents that arise
- Provide technical and system support internally for the business
- Work on any additional projects or tasks to achieve business goals

Essential Criteria
- Knowledge of Windows systems
- Knowledge of basic networking principles (TCP/IP)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent customer service skills both on the phone and face to face adaptable to all levels of profession
- Ability to translate technical language into user friendly information for clients with varying skills
- Good understanding and awareness of IT terminology
- The right candidate for out IT Support Technician should be a highly motivated, pragmatic and energetic team player with a positive can-do attitude

Desirable Criteria
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Previous experience of working for a service provider
- Both hardware and software experience
