Purpose of the position
To install, maintain and upgrade technical infrastructure (computers, networks, phone systems) for this company and its tenants in Retford. Additionally, to facilitate the support and sales teams in their tasks, promote good practices and new technologies and encourage communication both internally and externally to the operations team. Finally, to provide first line technical support for customers of the company.
Scope
The I.T. Support Technician reports to the I.T. Manager. The I.T. Support Technician is responsible for day-to-day operational control of technical infrastructure, and is tasked with facilitating the normal operation of the all the company teams at Retford, as well as providing technical infrastructure support to tenants in Retford. The I.T. support technician also provides first line technical support for customers of software products developed by the company. Additionally, responsible for handling IT security incidents/investigations and disaster recovery planning.
