This leading specialist in the design and manufacture of Mechanical Seals and Support Systems is looking to recruit an IT Support Officer.
The job holder will provide all aspects of 1st/2nd Line I.T. support to their global network community and follow all relevant policies to ensure work is carried out to the appropriate service level agreement and company standards. Whilst the role is based in Rotherham, it will be necessary to visit their UK Branches and some of their overseas branches from time to time.
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide 1st/2nd Line IT Support and replenishment of relevant hardware to their global customer base.
- Ensure all incidents are logged in their Helpdesk Software promptly and accurately.
- Provide cover for the daily backup & network checks to enable the department to keep standards and customer service consistent throughout annual leave or sickness
- Configuration & installation of hardware & software
- Participate in project work when required, communicating technical details between colleagues and users
It is essential to have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience and have excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of internet, intranet, wifi access, email and mobile/smartphone technologies is essential, as well as knowledge of Symantec anti-virus/backup software.
You must be able to diagnose/troubleshoot hardware/software faults and have experience in installing and configuring both hardware and software.
Knowledge of ISO accreditations as well as Cisco telephone systems would be an advantage, however not essential.
As you will be required to travel to various sites, a full driving licence is also essential.
