IT Support Technician
8:30-5:00 Monday to Friday (Occasional Weekend Work)

This company is looking to recruit an IT Support Analyst. You will be working as part of the IT Team to ensure all technology is working effectively and providing high quality IT support to personnel across the business.

Initially based at their Bow office this role offers the opportunity to support and maintain their infrastructure and user base across multiple physical locations (Bow, Harlow and Sevenoaks); mileage will be paid but you must have your own transport.

Key Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem resolutions skills
- A self-starter who can work unattended and under pressure
- Experience in an office environment with excellent personal relationship skills
- Experience with hardware/software installation, configuration and repair
- Good understanding of Microsoft products Excel, Word, Outlook and have up to date Windows knowledge (Windows 7, Windows 10)
- Basic networking skills (TCP/IP), WI-FI and network cabling (CAT5 + 6)
- Academic studies in an IT-related discipline and/or commercial experience within an IT position

Role:

- Provide timely 1st/2nd line support to personnel on IT issues; analysing and resolving faults
- Visiting all Westex sites (Bow, Harlow and Sevenoaks) and liaising with users on issues
- User support of in-house software systems; training would be provided
- Assist the IT Manager to install, upgrade, update, maintain IT hardware and software
- Help with internal IT projects
- Install/Support of PCs & Laptops, Windows7 and Windows 10
- Install/Support of Printers; Networked and Local
- Some knowledge of Programming (Python, PowerShell etc) for task automation would be an advantage
