A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT solution manager to take ownership and complete responsibility for their data-centre servers hosting their solution, together with back-office IT operations.
They are a fast growing (SaaS) solution provider based in Basildon just off the A127, offering an enterprise class live chat and online communication system to various verticals including local authorities, universities and finance.
You must be very knowledgeable regarding IT systems, have a hands-on solid technical background regarding the requirements below. Attention to detail is essential and you must be able to take on the responsibly of ensuring seamless continuity of our solution used 24/7 by multiple clients.
Responsibilities:
Manage, monitor, fault-find and enhance existing business systems; which include the business core systems located in a London data-centre (SQL servers, website applications). Ensure all systems are documented and take ownership of any change control requirements and processes. The role will also include management of their business continuity strategy, disaster recovering plan and IT security in relation to their contractual obligations.
Requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience
- Solid understanding and experience of virtualisation, networks, firewalls, security.
- BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
- Able to communicate and present ideas and solutions to the relevant directors
Skillset:
- Window Server 2012 / Active Directory
- Virtualisation / Hyper-V / Clustering (including SQL)
- HP blade servers/iLO and SAN
- Security, Networking, VPN/vLans
- SQL Server, Windows Services, Web Applications
