This employer is the UK's fastest growing private laboratory. It is the only laboratory in the UK to provide services directly to people who want to take charge of their health.

They are looking for an IT Manager to be based at their Battersea office who will manage the day to day running of the IT systems within LML & its branches. The IT Manager will assist other IT Administrators with the ongoing development & support of Laboratory & associated computer systems notably Cirdan Ultra, HeyDoc, Meddbase & Instrument Manager.

The IT Manager will ensure there is a system in place for the first and second line support for technical faults and queries relating to IT systems, software and hardware including fault finding, system configuration, activity and information reporting, data quality issues, escalating as required to other Network Administrators, ICT Service desk and third party technical support.

Some of the duties include:
- Coordinate IT support, training, and orientation for new technology users
- Implement Customer Service Systems such as Zendesk
- Oversees information security & maintains network and user security through hardware or software installation or through education
- Tracks inventory and status for hardware and software
- Establishes relationships with technology vendors
- Advises on the organisation's IT equipment, networking & connectivity needs & purchases products, part & services as necessary
- Supervises IT department staff
- Manages a team of specialists in support, installation, networks & purchase
- Works with MD to identify staffing needs and participates in the hiring process
- Develops emergency plans for equipment, power, or security failure to preserve technology & data
- Monitor and report on any key operational systems performance issues & apply escalation procedures in a timely manner
- Lead & manage IT projects
- Lead on key data and information extraction processes from IT systems to ensure efficiency, integrity and confidentiality of the data is always maintained
- Be responsible for the production, maintenance & implementation of Policies and Procedures surrounding internal and external service roles
- Be the Data Protection Representative for the company
- Establish & implement as essential out of hours duties as required for example:
- Upgrading new versions of software to the live Laboratory system
- Implementation & testing of new methods and systems which cannot be installed during core hours
- Receive calls from OOH support staff when critical issues are apparent within Laboratory systems and expertise is required to resolve or cascade further information to a supplier’s OOH support service
- Work with Data Quality, Laboratory, Quality & Clinical leads to ensure appropriate quality standards are applied
- Contribute to the auditing of the business to ensure appropriate IT quality & performance targets are met
- To develop, arrange & manage appropriate training programmes relating to IT
