This is a leading tour operator based in South East London with more than 10-years’ experience. Although they specialise in Cuba, they recently launched several new destinations through their own brand to diversify their portfolio.

The IT department plays an integral, rather than simply supportive role, within the company and is proud to play a key role in its steady growth. They have a regular in-house team of five developers with different backgrounds who specialise in different areas of the business. They also collaborate with external developers on a project basis.

They are looking for a dedicated IT Assistant Manager to report to the IT Manager. They will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of their computer systems within limits and requirements, specifications, cost, and timelines. They will help supervise the implementation and maintenance of the company’s computing needs.

You will have proven IT skills, a professional manner, relevant professional experience and a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practice processes.

Role Description

- Maintain, support and upgrade, where necessary, the core IT infrastructure under the direction of the IT Manager
- Provide Systems Administration, including maintaining user/group accounts, user configuration, trouble-shooting access problems and completion of on-site documentation
- Assist in Server infrastructure management, performance monitoring, Operating System upgrades and troubleshooting
- Ensure effective support for other systems, including back office, sales, marketing, accounting and human resources applications and any other in use at the company
- Implement and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures

Essential
- Previous experience within a similar role, 3 years + exp
- Comfortable working in an agile environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent English
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Confident, professional and friendly personality

Technical Skills
- Microsoft Windows Azure (2+ years’ experience)
- Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012+
- Microsoft SQL Server administration
- Microsoft Office 365
- Network Setup and Administration (LANs, WANs, TCP/IP, NAT, Routing, VPNs, Firewall, Security)

Desirable
- Familiar with the concepts of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
- Familiar with content management in SharePoint Online

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience and qualifications
