Information Systems Support Officer

This company is a specialist materials engineering organisation focusing on manufacturing highly engineered metals and components for advanced engineering applications around the world.

They wish to appoint an engaging, thoughtful, precise and commercially minded individual, with computer programming skills to strengthen their core business operations.

Based in Stoke-on-Trent, this is a role based in the Sales and Marketing Department, with significant responsibility for general business organisation and presents an opportunity for an individual looking to grow and develop their skills and experience in a varied and dynamic marketplace.

Currently generating over £7 million sales per year, this company has become the leading name in critical parts of specialist engineering industries such as aerospace, marine defence, food production, oil and gas and even some extreme luxury goods.

They wish to appoint a talented and well organised individual with the right character and intellect to show that they have the potential to become an extremely effective sales person.

The successful candidate will benefit from their industry-leading training and mentorship programme, so relevant experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities
- Management and organisation of project documentation and information generated by the Sales and Marketing Department
- IT development and support
- Maintaining customer accounts and long-term agreements
- Overseeing stock control and planning mechanisms

Requirements
- Fluent English is essential, an additional language is an advantage
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written and presentation skills are critical
- The candidate would have some skills in Javascript
- Knowledge of (Microsoft) SQL Server would be useful but not essential
- Knowledge of (or the ability to fairly quickly learn) networking environments with mix of Windows and Linux
- Good at manipulating spreadsheets
- Within easy commute or able to relocate near to ST6 postcode
- Full driving licence
- Hours of work are 0700 - 1600, Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch
