This company is a global manufacturer of wind towers. From their world class manufacturing facility site at Machrihanish, on the west coast of Scotland, they provide “ready to install” tower solutions for the onshore and offshore wind energy market. They employ over 100 people all of whom are dedicated to providing a high quality service to their valued clients.

Their factory in Machrihanish is a three-hour drive from Glasgow and located at the end of the Mull of Kintyre, the nearest town is Campbeltown approximately 5 miles away. With a population of less than 5,000 people in the town and 20,000 in the local area you will get away from long commutes and be in an area famed across the world for its stunning scenery, nature and hospitality.

They are currently recruiting for an experienced Internal Mounting Manager to work in their fast-paced manufacturing site. Working to demanding but achievable production schedules, the Internal Mounting Manager will be responsible for maintaining quality whilst meeting production targets and customer quality standards.

Reporting to the Production Function Leader, the post holder will manage three shifts over a 7-day operation. Previous experience of leading and developing team members is essential. To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable management experience gained in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Leader with energy, commitment, drive, adaptability, creativity, problem solving
and decision-making capabilities
- Management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrable experience working as a Manager/ Supervisor / Team Leader
- Experience in managing and delegating workloads
- Technical background
- Ability to review mechanical drawing,
- Ability to review electrical drawing is desirable.
- Planning and implementation
- Communication with the Production teams
- Assessing and monitoring KPI's, managing budgets etc.
- Ability to creature a culture of continuous improvement

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications, including presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills including Excel
- Excellent planning and organising skills for daily work and an ability to think ahead
- Proactive approach to Health and Safety
- Must be able to read drawings and blueprints
- CAD ability is an asset
