This double glazing company is looking to recruit an experienced Installations Manager, someone who has a good knowledge of the Double Glazing Window and Door Industry. This person needs to be capable of overseeing their Fitting teams work, overcoming installation issues and have a calm and capable approach when dealing with their customers. At the same time this person would be required to deal with Trade clients and therefore have an understanding of window designs, measuring & pricing skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
The job would involve daily contact with their Fitting teams, to ensure they have all necessary requirements on site.
- During the installation they would be required to check the Fitters work and assist with any queries they may have.
- Have discussions with their Surveyor to be aware of what the jobs entail.
- Contact with their Clients before and during the installation process, acting as the main contact once the job is sold.
Regular communication with their Production Manager to be aware of what jobs we are working on.
At the same time, this person would be required to handle Trade Clients, either walk-ins or again on site for design advice. Be confident in selling to their trade customers (on a supply-only basis).
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in window fitting, to be able to check their fitters work on site
- Good trouble shooting skills
- Capable of dealing with our clients face to face
- Experience of all aspects of modern glazed windows and doors
- Experience in selling windows, working off either a price list or computer program.
- Excellent communication skills, both on the telephone, email and verbally
- A methodical and thorough approach to work with an excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and diary management skills
- An ability to prioritise work load and stay calm under pressure
- A great team player with a desire to show initiative
- Good working knowledge of Word
- Be assertive, honest and reliable
- Industry related experience and knowledge of FENSA essential
- Valid full UK driving license
- Capable of measuring windows for pricing purposes
A Minimum 5 years’ experience is strongly desired. The successful candidate would be required to cover the London area and surroundings, due to this a valid Car licence and own transport essential
