Job Role: Inspection Field Technician
Salary: Circa £35,000, rising to approximately £50,000 - £60,000 after 2-3 years (Dependent on quantity & location of site works)
Bi-annual profit share bonus
Hours: Mon-Fri (08:00 – 16:30), with site hours varying (generally 12hr shift rotations)
This leader in specialist mechanical decoking and internal tube inspection technology is looking to recruit an Inspection Field Technician.
General Office Duties:
- Calibration of inspection equipment
- General maintenance of inspection equipment (basic mechanical & electronic)
- Site inspection operations preparation & planning
- Contribution towards technology development
- Continued technical training/CPD
Site Operation Duties:
- Ultrasonic inspection of fired heater coils using bespoke smartpigging technology
- Mechanical decoking of fired heater coils
- Data analysis
- Technical report writing
- Presenting inspection results to senior refinery personnel
Key Skills Required:
- PCN/ASNT UT Level 2
- Computer literate in MS Office
- Basic electronic fault diagnosis
- Working knowledge of CAD (Solidworks desirable)
- Knowledge of basic mechanical systems
- Flexibility with working hours is essential
