This University is a place where people are at the heart of all that they do, where enriching the lives of their students, staff and the communities they serve means that they make a difference that really matters.

Now is a very exciting time to be joining them because they are delivering a new strategic plan focused on making the most of their three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for their region, nationally and internationally.

An influential and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager in Information Systems (Finance, HR, Payroll, Student Administration etc) to lead high-profile projects in support of a new Digital Strategy. You will be collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the University, so confident and jargon-free communication skills will be key to building strong, productive relationships.

This is a great opportunity to bring your enthusiasm, experience and leadership to the role. Experience of university systems is not essential - more important will be your flexibility and ability to apply prior experience into a University setting. Although this is not a technical role, you will be working with technical staff and software suppliers, so a broad technical understanding is essential.

You will bring a strong understanding of structured project management and an ability to tailor your approach and communication to the needs of the project. You will have opportunities to advise and guide less experienced colleagues leading smaller projects, so high professional standards and diplomacy will be needed.

Hybrid working arrangements can be supported for this role in line with business need.

They offer a comprehensive set of staff benefits which includes a competitive salary, 35 days holiday plus bank holidays, excellent pension scheme with 8% employer contribution, hybrid working in line with business need and corporate discounts to name a few.

Please note that applicants will be directed to the company career site after your initial application. Those who complete the additional application form online will be favoured.
