The Information Security team is responsible for ensuring that the division, and the company, are compliant with information security standards such as ISO27001, PCI DSS and various government accreditations. The team advise, and audit, the technical and operational teams on being compliant with information security best practice and acting in a secure manner. Due to the importance of information security in this digital age, and the growing team, they are now looking for an Information Security Manager.

The day to day

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the team resource of 3 Information Security Specialists to ensure that work is prioritised efficiently and completed to a high standard. You are responsible for overseeing that all customer, division and government requirements around data protection and privacy are implemented through audit and evaluations. You will ensure that all employees are aware and compliant with the relevant laws; as well as manage an Information System awareness programme for all users. Your other responsibilities will include:

- The development and administration of a risk assessment programme. You will modify the division and third party requirements to ensure a cost-efficient Information Security programme.
- Assisting your team in reviewing customer contracts for any compliance and security implications.
- You will direct and coordinate their wide Information System business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
- Providing analysis to the leadership team around risk and security.

It’s all about you

You will probably have a background within information security or technology and have a good understanding of the security processes and controls within systems and networks. They have pulled together a few other essentials below:

- You will be adept at working with multiple teams at once, and be able to get what you need from all sides through positive engagement.
- You should be experienced in guiding and empowering a team whilst effectively working independently to manage resource and workload.
- With a global remit, you will be comfortable negotiating with different stakeholders in a diplomatic way.
- You may hold or be working towards a relevant security certification such as CISSP.
