This company is looking to recruit a HSE Advisor to be part
of the growing Health and Safety team at their Loughborough site.

The HSE Advisor will offer expert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture. This represents a key role in helping to control occupational health and safety risk and to ensure Company Health and Safety standards are maintained and adhered to.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for advising management on all safety legislation relevant to their areas of responsibilities.
- To help plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measures that the company are required or choose to follow, and to work to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries.
- To assist in carrying health and safety induction, training and toolbox talks.
- To inspect and monitor statutory reports, certificates and training certificates.
- Schedule and carry out site inspections, management system and legal compliance reviews and issue appropriate paperwork
- Carry out review and approval process for standard or low risk activities for all assigned sites.
- Provide specialist Health, Safety and Environmental Management advice and assistance to site management teams as appropriate / requested.
- Analysis of incidents and producing statistics for managers as requested.
- Assisting in the development safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
- Preparation of monthly Health and Safety Report.

About you:

- With very good attention to detail and a good communicator
- A team player who motivates people and encourages efficient team working.

Essential:

- Knowledge of and ability to work to ISO14001 Environmental Management System
- Experience in UK regulations - Manual Handling, COSHH, and CDM.
- NEBOSH
- Strong IT Skills.
- Confident to delivery training sessions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable:

- IOSH/IEMA Membership
- First Aid trained
- Understand of manufacturing environment.
