A HGV Class 2 Driver is required to join a leading supplier of packaging materials based in South Birmingham. We are seeking a flexible individual who is physically fit. The ideal candidate will be happy to combine HGV delivery driving with forklift and warehouse work.
The position will involve multi drop delivery of their products to their customer’s premises, it is important that their drivers are friendly and approachable as they will need to develop good relationships with their customers.
The role will also involve regular warehouse work, this will include unloading and loading vehicles using forklift trucks (training in the use of forklifts may be provided for the right candidate), together with picking and order preparation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Delivery of customer orders
- Follow appropriate delivery and dispatch procedures
- Capture delivery information and book in goods received
- Prepare orders for collection by carriers
- Completing regular stock checks
- Loading and unloading of vehicles using forklift and reach trucks
- Day to day maintenance of vehicles, including refuelling and reporting any faults. Ensuring vehicles are roadworthy
Essential Skills - To be considered for this vacancy you must hold the following
- A current HGV Class 2 Licence
- Current CPC
Desirable Skills ( Not essential as training can be provided )
Current Counterbalance / Reach Truck certificates

Additional Information
- The hours of work will be Monday - Friday based on a 40hr week
- Flexible start times will be required
- 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
Due to semi rural location and flexible start times candidates must have access to a vehicle, free onsite parking is available.
