This company provides advice and support to healthcare businesses of all types across the UK including residential care homes, nursing homes, domiciliary care providers, hospitals and supported living services. The range of advice and support that they provide includes mock inspections, resolving compliance and regulatory concerns, crisis management, resolving safeguarding referrals and other serious issues, business development and market research.

They are looking for a full-time Healthcare Consultant to join their specialist advisory team working country-wide.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- To fully understand the client organisation being supported via thorough research and analysis.
- Quickly and accurately Identify what the issues are and prepare reports detailing the solutions and action to be taken.
- Present findings and recommendations to clients in an efficient but sensitive manner.
- Implement recommendations and solutions ensuring the client receives the correct support to carry it out.
- Manage projects independently but providing regular updates to the Director or other members of the team.
- Lead and motivate the client’s staff team appropriately in order to ensure solutions are implemented correctly.

The person specification for this role is:

- Nurse qualified with a current valid registration with no restrictions on practice
- Minimum of 15 years experience working in the healthcare sector
- Have an interest in supporting healthcare organisations to run efficiently and responsibly with the primary goal of ensuring service user safety.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of current healthcare regulation, best practice guidance, policies and procedures.
- The ability to establish trusted relationships with clients and all those working within the organisation.
- Follow Care Ideals policies and procedures, uphold professional standards and perform all work in a respectful manner.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and ensure that professional advice is communicated clearly.
- To have a flexible approach to work and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Have excellent written and communication skills in English.
- Have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.

Additional Information

This job role requires the successful candidate to be flexible in their working hours, sometimes working beyond 5pm may be required.
Due to the need to be based at these clients for periods, it may be necessary to stay away from home at times if the clients site is not local.

Salary is up to £50,000 depending on experience. All expenses will be paid for and other benefits like childcare vouchers, private health insurance and pensions are available.
