We're sorry, you can no longer apply for this job.

Based in Warmley, Bristol, this company specialises in providing high quality live-in care to adults across the south of England with an ethos to deliver a service that celebrates each client’s individuality. Unlike timed care visits carried out on a daily frequency they support clients in their own homes by providing care companions who live with them for a minimum of two weeks at a time. This enables them to offer a high level of continuity of support and the genuine opportunity to make a real difference to their clients lives. This has been evidenced by their most recent CQC inspection which assessed them as Good overall in all the services they provide to clients and the support they give to their staff. They have also won a ‘Best Live-in Care Organisation’ award of which they are truly proud.

About the role:
Due to their continued growth they now require an experienced Health & Social Care Trainer. You’ll deliver high quality induction and update training to Skills for Care ‘Care Certificate’ standard, that meets regulatory requirements and offers ongoing support to the care staff team.

This role offers a lot of variety and no two days will look the same. Some days you’ll be delivering classroom based induction training sessions for new staff, on others you’ll be carrying out field-based competency assessments for staff following completion of their training. Then you’ll be liaising with the care team to plan and schedule induction training based on the recruitment activity of the business and managing the update training programme for existing staff.

About you:
- A proven track record of teaching and delivering training in a Health & Social Care environment.
- Hold an Award in Education & Training (PTLLS) Level 3 or 4, or equivalent qualification. Ideally be a First Aid and Moving & Positioning Instructor or willing to obtain the qualification as a first priority on joining.
- A dynamic and motivated individual who is passionate and enthusiastic about training and the impact it has on service quality. You will need to be an ambassador of their ethos and core values and demonstrate these through your training delivery.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability and confidence to coach and develop a wide range of individuals
- Strong IT skills with a working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, with a flexible approach required to meet the training needs of the business. Regular travel is required for which a full driving licence will be needed.

Benefits:
- Salary circa £24,000 per annum (based on experience and qualifications) plus car allowance of £3,000 per annum. Mileage expenses paid for business travel.
- Annual Leave of 33 days, inclusive of 8 Bank Holidays.
- Contributory Company Pension Scheme.
