Health and Safety Advisor
(Permanent)

£30k - £35k (Negotiable)
This family business has been established for nearly 30 years and grown significantly over that time and now has several business streams including construction services, security, and facilities and cleaning.

With a broad range of clients based across the UK they have satellite site offices across the country with their head office based in Gravesend Kent. Their business is driven progressive and dynamic!

The Role: Health and Safety Advisor
Working with the QSHE Manager and supporting Managers at Head Office and satellite site units.

Job role:
- Site Visits to review on site health and safety documentation paying particular attention to current risk assessments and method statements on site.
- Work with Contracts Managers and Site Managers to improve the standard of on site documentation.
- Document control on company IT Systems.
- Maintaining the TBT library including, updating, monitoring on site completion and researching and publishing new ones.
- Liaison with partnering companies to ensure we stay ahead of their requirements regarding TBTs and training.
- Chase outstanding actions from non-compliance issues raised from any source and keep the owner of that process informed.
- Maintaining the approved supplier register and supporting documentation.
- Filing, updating and monitoring of documents on the Glasscubes system.
- Advice to operational staff on the correct use of documentation and procedures.
- Any other Appropriate functions, as instructed by their line manager.
- Maintain personal development and keep up to date with current legislation and developments within the construction industry.
- Assist the QHSE Manager with current projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the company procedures.
- Monitor site documentation.
- Ensuring site risk assessments and assignment instructions are correct and in date.
- Carrying out monthly document checks.
- Ensuring compliance with company management systems.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of training courses as appropriate.
- Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure the effective running and management of the operation.

Person Specification
- Good timekeeping.

- Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing quality service through effective quality and administrative systems.
- Extensive knowledge and implementation of QHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001)
