This ambitious training and workforce development provider, operating across the East Midlands, is seeking a Head of Business Development to join their growing team based in Nottingham. This is a new, full time, permanent position, key to support the company’s growth plans.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a strategic leadership level position that holds ultimate responsibility for securing growth in Apprenticeship and commercial training provision. The Head of Business Development will ensure the company engages the necessary employers, partners and learners to provide high quality, demand-led training, recruitment and development opportunities for local and regional business.

As Head of Business Development, you will identify growth opportunities within adult and youth Apprenticeships and the new Apprenticeship Levy. You will manage, lead and motivate a growing team of business development professionals to optimise relationships with existing customers and develop a strategy for engaging new businesses across a variety of industry sectors.

Your key focus will be to lead on the development of purposeful, mutually beneficial, sustainable relationships and to act as commercial ambassador for the company. A major element of the role will be building upon the strength, reputation and profile of the company within the Midlands region and beyond.

You will have a proven track record of managing, leading and motivating successful business development teams, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners. The ability to develop strategic and operational plans and to deliver against ambitious growth targets is also essential.

You may already have experience as Head of Business Development, Commercial Sales Director, Business Development Director, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Client Relationship, Senior Sales Executive, etc.
