One of the leading providers of Workforce Management Software currently have an opportunity for an experienced and proven Hardware and Software Engineer.
The role will include duties as follows:
- Software and hardware telephone support
- Remote fault diagnostic utilising remote connection tools, such as TeamViewer, etc
- New installations of access control across the UK
- Cabling and testing of IP based Time & Attendance Data Capture terminals and IP Access Control door controllers
- Fitting of magnetic locks and associated equipment at client sites across the UK
- Onsite hardware fault diagnostic and repair
- Deployment of software and hardware on a customer’s existing infrastructure
- Delivery of software training to new and existing users
- Assistance with software development & testing
- Assistance in the production of software and process documentation, including help files
- Assistance in production of technical sales support information
- Ad-hoc duties, as required by management
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working with software to control remote hardware
- Experience of installing and maintaining access control, CCTV, alarms etc. or a good, working knowledge of electronics and associated cabling
- A good understanding of network infrastructure including server, client and communications
- Strong interpersonal skills, a good telephone manner and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Good problem solving skills, in order to locate faults and rectify issues, both remotely and on site
- A full clean, UK driving licence and the flexibility to work away from home
