This company is a subsidiary of a leading provider of transportation, utility and telecom invoice payment and related business intelligence services, disbursing $40 billion annually on behalf of its customers.
They are seeking a graduate Telecom Analyst who will work in their brand-new Basingstoke, U.K. office. The individual in this position is responsible for the monthly auditing and analysis of customers' European telecoms billing, including voice, conferencing, broadband, mobile and data communications.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Audit invoices and billing data for credits and cost avoidance opportunities.
- Perform in-depth analysis to support optimisation and sourcing activities.
- Present recommendations to customers in conference calls. Explain technical details and obtain customer approval for implementation of recommendations.
- Set up and manage circuit inventory, geographic locations, and general reporting.
- Interface directly with customers, vendors, and account managers as necessary to acquire portal logins, vendor contracts, client business needs and requirements.
- Provide support to Sourcing and Sales teams in a pre-sales role.
Skills and Attributes Required:
- High level of numeracy and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products, in particular Excel.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to organise and handle several tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- A recent (2017/2018) bachelor’s degree in maths, computer science, economics or other numerical subject.
