They don’t mind what subject you studied – but you’ll have to be strong analytically, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex information and draw logical conclusions. Of course, you’ll be confident working and communicating with people from diverse backgrounds, building relationships quickly and using these quickly.
You don’t necessarily need to have a background in the Laundry industry – but you’ll have an understanding of how markets operate, with an insight into how businesses respond to customers, perhaps with specific knowledge around production processes. Furthermore, you’ll have an ability to think strategically about the direction of a company.
Your work ethic and business awareness will be proven by the part time jobs, voluntary work or placements you’ve had so far. And you’ll be organised, with experience of managing differing priorities and projects. Most of all you’ll be driven, with a keen desire to succeed and develop. Covering both the Prestonhall and Riggs place production plants in Cupar.
