They have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and high calibre graduate to springboard their career in a dynamic and diverse sector, within the Linen and Garment rental sector. If successful, you’ll be in a focused hands on role at their Glasgow plant with placements at their other sites as required with real responsibility and opportunities that will give you a wide breadth of experience ready to carve out a career as a Production Manager.
A degree in manufacturing or production would be an advantage however is not essential – but you will need strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex information and draw logical conclusions. Of course, you’ll be confident working and communicating with people from diverse backgrounds, building relationships quickly and using these quickly.
Again a background in the Laundry industry is not essential – but you will need to have an understanding of how markets operate, with an insight into how businesses respond to customers, perhaps with specific knowledge around production processes. Furthermore, you’ll have an ability to think strategically about the direction of a company. Your work ethic and business awareness will be proven by the part time jobs, voluntary work or placements you’ve had so far.
